On Hypixel, a Security Alert ban is not the same thing as a normal ban for cheating or chat or rule stuff. It is an automatic lock that gets put on the account when Hypixel thinks the person logging in might not be the real owner.
When this happens, you will usually see something like:
Hypixel does this to protect whoever owns the Microsoft or Minecraft account. It is basically them saying: “We are not sure this login is legit, so we are locking this profile until it is secured.”
Hypixel does not publish their detection rules, and they change them over time. But from what players see in the wild, Security Alerts usually show up when the account starts behaving like a compromised profile instead of one person playing normally.
- • Logins from unusual locations or IP ranges
Long history of logging in from one country or region, then suddenly it appears from a totally different country or a network type that looks sketchy. - • The account looks leaked or shared
Same account hopping between multiple IPs in a short time, or connecting from IPs known for leaked combos, makes it look like the owner is not the one playing. - • Previously compromised or flagged accounts
If the Microsoft account has been sold, shared or used in obvious cheat scenarios before, it is more likely to get hit with a Security Alert later. - • Abnormal connection patterns
Rapid logins, lots of tiny sessions, constant reconnect spam. This looks more like someone “testing accounts” than one person playing SkyWars.
All of this lives entirely on Hypixel's side. TheAltening cannot see their internal checks or scores, and we do not have any button that touches these bans.
Security Alert bans are usually temporary, often around 30 days, but the exact length and result depend on Hypixel's current rules and how your appeal goes.
If this is your personal Microsoft or Minecraft account, you should follow Hypixel's instructions exactly:
- • Change your Microsoft password.
- • Secure your email and remove weird sessions or devices.
- • Turn on any extra security options.
- • Then use Hypixel's site to submit a Security Alert appeal.
With an alt, you do not control the original email or Microsoft account. That means:
- • You cannot fully complete Hypixel's “secure your account” checklist.
- • Staff will not talk to you as the owner without proof.
- • In practice, that alt is usually done on Hypixel once it is flagged.
Because this is tied to the account's life before it ever hit our stock, we cannot remove, shorten or appeal these bans for you. At this point they have logged your IP address and you must use a VPN or Proxy.
There is no magic setup that guarantees you will never see a Security Alert ban. But you can make your behavior look a lot more like one person playing normally and a lot less like a compromised account being tested.
- • Always use an undetected IP Address / VPN / Proxy. You will not get around this ban without one!
- • Do not share account details or tokens to “let friends try it”.
- • Stick to trusted Minecraft clients, not random shady downloads.
- • Avoid spam connecting, reconnect spam and flipping ten alts in seconds.
The goal is to make the account look like one person is playing on one setup, not like a leaked combo being hit from different spots every minute.
Security Alert bans on Hypixel are not something we can control, predict or undo.
- • They are fully handled by Hypixel's systems and staff.
- • They are based on the account's full history, not just what you did today.
- • Appeals usually require the original owner and their email.
If an alt you are using gets hit with a Security Alert, the realistic move is to swap to a different account and adjust how you are connecting going forward. This module is just here so you understand what happened instead of staring at the message confused.
